Paralegal
Diploma

While paralegals are not lawyers and cannot practice law or give legal advice to consumers, they play an integral role in today's complex legal field. If you are interested in starting a career or advancing in the legal industry, our Paralegal Diploma program can provide the knowledge and training required to succeed.

Our program focuses on providing you with a basic understanding of the core areas of law and court systems. You will receive instruction that can prepare you to perform legal research, understand legal terminology, and use various legal software programs and Internet legal sites.

In addition to a diploma, this program can help prepare you for the Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) exam to become certified by the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).*

Paralegal Studies Program Features

Take this opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills that can help you start a successful career as a paralegal. Our paralegal program offers:

  • Exposure to a wide range of legal areas
  • Preparation assistance for certification exams
  • Potential to fulfill the increasing need for legal employees with formal training in legal research and communication techniques

Potential Career Opportunities

Once you earn a diploma from our paralegal program, you can seek various entry-level positions in employment settings such as:

  • Corporate legal departments
  • Private law firms
  • Governmental agencies
  • Litigation support companies

† However, the School cannot guarantee a student's eligibility either to take this exam or become certified. A student's eligibility may depend on his or her work experience, completion of high school (or its equivalent), not having a criminal record, meeting other licensure or certification requirements, or the program or School itself having appropriate accreditation or licensure. Externship sites may themselves require a criminal background check or medical examination.
